Teachers Open Doors

 

Hello and welcome! As students navigate through life, they travel through a series of doors; and through each door, they hope that they are prepared for what lies ahead. I sincerely believe that teachers do open doors for students. Through scaffolding, teachers guide students across opportunities of discovering new knowledge and expressing unique ideas. Teachers support students during their journey of acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge that will prepare them for the myriad situations that lie beyond those doors. Although teachers assist students to navigate down twisting paths and locate hidden doors that will lead them to discoveries and success, students must cross each threshold and take the journey alone. Thus, it is essential for teachers to help students to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful during their voyage beyond those doors.
